Internets, do you has it

August 31, 2007

I was looking around today and I think I found all the internets. As a public service all I brought it to you.

While doing this I discovered the internets are kind of big. Because of this I am putting the rest behind a cut.

Now I realize I found most of it, but I guess there is a chance I missed some corner of the webs. Feel free to post anything I missed.

Awesome

August 31, 2007

Combichrist kicked so much ass! I had never seen them before, and I am SO glad I went. Andy’s energy and stage presence is fantastic. There was also a ton of people there who I had never seen at Ground Zero, so I convinced everyone to let me do a few announcements between the bands about our normal Thursdays. Imperative Reaction put on a very nice show too, I know their stuff but have never seen them, I was impressed. Modulate was…. well it’s their first year touring so lets just leave it at that.

Whew, I’m quite whipped out today, but it’s so worth it.

Photo Editing

August 27, 2007

I’ve aways be into photo and graphic editing. Since the early 90’s I always had copies of photoshop and loved it. Unfortunetly I don’t have a copy on my work laptop, which is my only computer right now. I have installed GIMP and have been using that for all my photo editing needs, GIMP is ok but not great IMO.

I just found another very cool, free, photo editing service. This one is online based so you don’t need to download and install anything. It’s call FotoFlexer and it’s very slick. It seems to have all the basic editing tools that you might need; cropping, resizing, color manipulation etc. What makes it very unique is it has built in integration with leading photo sites and social networks. You edit your photos in fotoflexer, then load photos right into Flickr, Myspace, Facebook or any of the other big sites. Pretty sweet.

Cold office + Bald Head = Teh Suck

August 24, 2007

For some reason my company keeps the temperature in our offices around 10 below. As most of you know, I also shave my head, this doesn’t equal a good thing. Because if this I started wearing a winter hat at the office. I twittered about it the other day and Inktea suggested I put up some winter decorations. I thought it was a fabulous idea:

I only turn on the lights and break out the stocking when I have my hat on.

On another note, check out my kick ass bobble heads:

Sneaky marketing

August 24, 2007

Have you seen the UFO videos from Haiti and the Dominican Republic? They have to be fakes (Actually this video does a great job of debunking them) but they are really good. The question is, who made them and why? My first guess was that it’s part of Halo 3. They are a couple of weeks old now and we still haven’t heard anything, which makes me wonder about that; I would think Halo would have either said something about it, or pushed out something new by now. Obviously someone spent some serous time and money on it. Maybe it’s connected with the Cloverfield thing. If anyone has any speculation let me know.

One more piece of YouTube goodness for you

This is crazy, check out this Tokyo wave pool. The pool is in Tokyo Summerland, right now it’s the middle the Obon holiday week. Because everyone is on holiday, they all went the the pool at the exact same time:

Daft Punk cares about black people…. or something

August 23, 2007

Kanye West (who made the awesome statement; “Bush doesn’t care about black people”) has a new song that has daft punk all up in that shit. Pretty cool video too.
